Hey kids,

Sorry for the lack of updating last week, things got a little busy.  Here’s a new Skully for you. The tax man ended up looking a little bit like George Bush…not sure if that adds to or detracts from things, anyway….

I’ve been considering splitting the comic titles either into mini-sites on dorkboycomics.com to allow dedicated pages to each comic with navigation for that title only, or possibly doing a mix of that and having dedicated sites for the comics I update the most (Kernel Corn, and Skully). I’d love feedback on this…would you like that better or do you prefer everything as it is now? feel free to drop me a line or comment and let me know.

oh speaking of which, I’m REALLY sorry, I have gotten really far behind on my email, and need to reply to a few of you…will do asap. thanks for being patient

Apparently this is my 500th comic post.  Many of those were scanned posts from my print comics from years ago, so I guess it took me somewhere around 11 years or so to get to this point…what am i doing with my life….. 

I think that’s all I have for now….and yes I did get my taxes done

hey kids,

here’s a new sketch until the next comic (coming soon). I enjoy doing things in colour, but I love black and white work from my many years of pen and ink (Speedball black and a’G’ Pen nib from Japan are my favourites). Unfortunately, I don’t do much of that any more as the pressure needed was hard on my wrist, and eventually started manifesting itself as tendonitis. The sketch below was done in Manga Studio with a Wacom tablet as I have been ‘all digital’ the past several years.

hello….hello? is this thing on?

I’m back from Japan. I got a nasty cold while i was there, was bitten by my mother-in-law’s dog,followed by a violent stomach flu as soon as I returned…still on the mend.

Here’s the first sketch of the new year….comics should be on track shortly.

Hey kids,

sorry no comic this week, things have been crazy busy, BUT i did manage to finally upgrade ComicPress to the latest version so I have some slick looking archives WITH mini comic previews (click on the ‘comics by title’ off to the right…I will be working on the overall comics archive page asap) as well as a much better search box that will show you comic previews also, plus I can post multiple blog posts on the front page to keep you all updated between comics, post sketches, etc, etc. Go tell Tyler Martin he is the awesomest.
