Issue #3.1 saw the comic go to the smaller standard mini comic format 8.5″ x 11″ folded in half.

At this point I was actually trying to plan the stories a little more, and actually pencil, etc instead of winging the whole thing. Technical pens on sketchbook paper was the medium of choice for this one.
